Museum: Due to the campus closure today, Thursday, Nov. 15, today's Third Thursday tour of the Manetti Shrem is canceled and will be rescheduled for Feb. 21 from noon to 1 p.m. For details on other museum shows Friday and throughout the weekend, call the museum's main number at 530-752-8500 or check their .

Symphony Orchestra opens 60th season Sunday

The ΢Ƶ Symphony Orchestra is opening its 60th season on Sunday, Nov. 18 with a show called “Love, Jazz, and Sailors,” centered around legendary Broadway composer Leonard Bernstein.

The show is centered around Bernstein but will feature the work of three composers, according to symphony music director and conductor Christian Baldini.

Each of the words in the show’s title, “Love, Jazz, and Sailors,” will be represented by a different piece of music.

Additionally, the concert is being dedicated to former symphony cellist Eldrige Moores, a ΢Ƶ distinguished professor emeritus of geology who died recently during a geology research trip.
