IN TRANSITION: Hinds to lead marketing

Tom Hinds was appointed ΢²ªÊÓƵ’ new marketing director on July 31.

For the past year, Hinds has served double duty in University Communications as both the interim director of marketing communications and as the development and campaign communications manager, a post he took in April 2006.

In the past year he has led the Discover What Matters integrated marketing and branding campaign.

Hinds has been with ΢²ªÊÓƵ since 2002, when he joined Undergraduate Admissions to manage its marketing communications.

Immediately prior to joining ΢²ªÊÓƵ, he served as editor-in-chief of Schwann Publications in Woodland.

Hinds holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and media studies from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash.
