΢��Ƶ observes Global Accessibility Awareness Day this Thursday (May 19) with workshops, a roundtable discussion and a drop-in lab dealing with electronic accessibility — that is, creating websites and digital documents so everyone can use them, regardless of disabilities affecting how people learn or interact with technology.

UC Initiative to Help Campuses Increase Student Housing

A team from the UC Office of the President began visiting campuses on Jan. 22 to help advance a systemwide housing initiative aimed at supporting the existing student population and future enrollment growth.

President Janet Napolitano announced the initiative during her opening remarks at the Board of Regents meeting last week. She aims to expand the pool of student housing over the next four years, and to accelerate the timetable for completing student housing developments that are already in the planning phase.
